DESCRIPTION:<h2>Members' Event -&nbsp;SASI 60th Anniversary Celebration</h2><p>&nbsp;</
 p><p>To celebrate this 60<sup>th</sup>&nbsp;Anniversary milestone the gathe
 ring will now take place at Green Point Observatory.&nbsp;</p><p>As many of
  you are aware 2021 marked a further milestone in SASI’s history with the a
 cknowledgement and celebration of SASI’s 60th Anniversary. From the humble 
 beginnings of our two founders, Keith Selby and Frank Napier, who formed SA
 SI’s inaugural club, the James Cook Astronomers Club in 1961, we have an as
 tronomical society that is rated as one of Australia’s top Astronomical Soc
 ieties and is known by many around the globe. SASI boosts a state-of-the-ar
 t amateur observatory and gathering place where observations, comradery, me
 etings and education take place for both members and members of the public.
 </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>During the celebration the following will be held:</p><
 ol start="1"><li><b>Dinner.</b></li></ol><ul><li style="list-style-type: no
 ne;"><ul><li>Food will be catered for all SASI members and their family att
 ending.</li><li>It will consist of a BBQ/salad dinner with desert provided 
 as well as crockery, cutlery and drinking utensils.</li><li>Members and the
 ir party will need to supply their <b>own beverages</b> as only tea, coffee
  and milk will be supplied.</li></ul></li></ul><ol start="2"><li><b>The unv
 eiling of The McMillan Telescope</b> with a plaque placed on the societies 
 12" Meade Telescope by Society President, Sandor Galos.</li><li><b>The 10 Y
 ears Members presentation</b> by Committee member Jack Kozianski.</li><li><
 b>Observing</b> later during the evening using the society's flagship teles
 copes and The McMillan Telescope.</li><li>SASI Patron Fred Watson and his p
 artner Marnie Ogg will be in attendance at this auspicious occasion.</li></
