DESCRIPTION:Members' Event - SASI 60th Anniversary Celebration \nTo celebrate this 60th
  Anniversary milestone the gathering will now take place at Green Point Obs
 ervatory. \nAs many of you are aware 2021 marked a further milestone in SAS
 I’s history with the acknowledgement and celebration of SASI’s 60th Anniver
 sary. From the humble beginnings of our two founders, Keith Selby and Frank
  Napier, who formed SASI’s inaugural club, the James Cook Astronomers Club 
 in 1961, we have an astronomical society that is rated as one of Australia’
 s top Astronomical Societies and is known by many around the globe. SASI bo
 osts a state-of-the-art amateur observatory and gathering place where obser
 vations, comradery, meetings and education take place for both members and 
 members of the public.\n \nDuring the celebration the following will be hel
 d:\n\n - Dinner.\n - Food will be catered for all SASI members and their fa
 mily attending.\n - It will consist of a BBQ/salad dinner with desert provi
 ded as well as crockery, cutlery and drinking utensils.\n - Members and the
 ir party will need to supply their own beverages as only tea, coffee and mi
 lk will be supplied.\n - The unveiling of The McMillan Telescope with a pla
 que placed on the societies 12" Meade Telescope by Society President, Sando
 r Galos.\n - The 10 Years Members presentation by Committee member Jack Koz
 ianski.\n - Observing later during the evening using the society's flagship
  telescopes and The McMillan Telescope.\n - SASI Patron Fred Watson and his
  partner Marnie Ogg will be in attendance at this auspicious occasion. \nTo
